Dr Nicholas Ng is a general dentist born and raised in Singapore. His practice philosophy is centred on comprehensive and conservative dentistry, with a strong focus on treatment modalities that prevent tooth loss. Patients appreciate his clarity in explaining dental conditions and his detailed planning of dental treatment. His approach is to always involve the patient in making decisions regarding their dental treatment plans.
Dr Ng received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore. After graduating from NUS, he developed a keen interest in pain management of teeth. Subsequently, he spent extended time in the endodontic department treating infected teeth and alleviating toothaches. His clinical experiences in different environments have contributed to and cemented his interest in managing dental pain. He has worked in the School Dental Services, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, and National Dental Centre.
Dr Nicholas very often participates in continual professional education in endodontics and conservative dentistry. His passion in keeping up with the latest evidence and keeping abreast with advances in dental technology has brought him to multiple courses both locally and internationally.
Outside dentistry, Dr Nicholas’ travels to Japan has recently started him on a journey to learn the Japanese language. His previous tours of Italy have also sparked his interest in Italian cooking.
