Dr Kevin Kwok is an accomplished Australian dentist who holds a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Western Australia. He’s worked in both private and public dentistry facilities.
Kevin appreciates all aspects of dentistry and places a strong emphasis on preventative dentistry with the goal to spot problems early. He is especially interested in crown and bridge work, as well as tooth wear. He takes pride in his receptive approach to patients, especially those who are dental phobic or anxious and strives to make each visit to the dentist as pleasant and joyful as possible. He strives to provide the highest standard of care to all his patients whilst offering a range of tailored treatment options to suit their needs.
Kevin is a member of the Singapore Dental Association and the Australian Dental Association, and he is always learning and attending seminars to ensure that his patients receive the most current dental care possible.
Outside of dentistry, Kevin enjoys exploring the different areas and sampling food from around our country. He also has an interest in fountain pens and is often looking for opportunities to write with them whenever possible.
Dr Jonathan graduated from the University of Queensland. During his time in Australia, he served a wide range of patients in the public health system of Queensland. He gained proficiency in restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics and oral surgery at the Oral Health Centre in Brisbane.
Dr Jonathan has a strong interest in paediatric dentistry and oral surgery which led him to engage in research on the management of dental trauma in children. He was awarded the Colgate-Palmolive research grant and the Australian Dental Research Foundation grant for that.
Dr Jonathan is a firm advocate of preventative dentistry and believes in the importance of improving oral health knowledge. He is committed to providing a tailored treatment plan and unique experience for every patient, with patient needs at the centre.
In his free time, Dr Jonathan enjoys balancing his love for outdoor sports and food by cycling and hiking to explore various food haunts. He loves food and had to upskill himself when he was living in Australia. He claims his reverse seared scotch fillet as his signature dish. Dr Jonathan also enjoys volunteering at the elder care center, where he picked up dialects on top of English and Mandarin.
Dr Sandra Tay was born and raised in Singapore and went on to pursue an education in dentistry in Australia . She obtained her Bachelor of Dental Science degree from the University of Western Australia in Perth.
Dr Sandra believes that nature is the greatest artwork known to man, and aims to provide comprehensive and holistic dental care that emulates nature as closely as possible. In doing so, she allows her patients to have dentition and oral health that they can be confident with.
She particularly enjoys working with elderly to help them formulate individualised treatment plans to best suit their needs. Dr Sandra aims to be a dentist that creates a positive experience with every visit and wishes to rid the world of dental phobia!
Outside of dentistry, Dr Sandra serves as a pianist in the church. She also has many other hobbies, she is an avid gamer and gardener, loves spending time with her family’s border collie. She also de-stress by solving jigsaw puzzles and working on various art projects from sketching to knitting to card making.
Dr Keh Hong Wei graduated with a Bachelor in Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore, and worked in polyclinics, schools and the Singapore Armed Forces before joining Canaan.
Dr Keh has a keen interest in aesthetic and conservative dentistry, attending courses both locally and internationally to further his knowledge in these fields. He is also an ardent advocate of preventive and evidence-based dentistry.
He is passionate in educating patients about their conditions, and believes that addressing patients’ concerns and improving their quality of life should be at the heart of every treatment plan, instead of focusing solely on treatment of ailments. His patients also appreciate his patience and his attentiveness.
Beyond work, Dr Keh spends most of his free time with his family. He enjoys reading, jogging and is an avid foodie.
Sangeetha graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic and worked with the National Dental Centre as a dental hygienist for number of years. In her last year of service, she was in the department providing treatment for the medically compromised patients. She was also serving in the Geriatrics and Special Needs facility.
Sangeetha understands the emotional aspect of the dental treatment so she tries to make every visit friendly and comforting without compromising on the treatment. She derives satisfaction when the patient’s gum health improves after her treatment.
In her free time, Sangeetha enjoys modern calligraphy and DIY creations. She volunteers at SPCA and participates in various community dental screenings as well.
Dr Noah Teo graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2003 and completed his Master’s degree in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2010.
Dr Noah was a Consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in a tertiary hospital in Singapore and he currently holds appointments as Visiting Consultant in various hospitals in Singapore and overseas.
His clinical interests are in Jaw Realignment surgery, Implant surgery Dento-alveolar and jaw cyst surgery. Dr Noah frequently receives referrals for complicated surgery and second opinions. He is regularly invited as teaching faculty and speaker; and has written a chapter for a medical textbook.
Dr Noah believes in a multidisciplinary approach and ensures that his patients make well-informed decisions. His strong communication skills and ability to establish a comfortable rapport with nervous patients is very valuable.
Dr Noah is blessed with three ladies at home – his lovely wife and two beautiful daughters. He enjoys nature and finds time for scenic walks. Reading a book while sipping a Latte brew is also his way of winding down.
Dr Joshua graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore, and worked in various clinics in the public service before joining Canaan.
During his time in dental school, Dr Joshua served as the President of the Dental Society, and has clinched numerous academic awards. He delights in helping nervous patients overcome their fear of dentists, and firmly believes in providing gentle and holistic dental care. Moreover, patients are generally attracted to calm and steady disposition.
Dr Joshua is passionate about overseas dental mission work as well as local community service. He actively volunteers to provide free dental treatment to migrant workers in Singapore. Outside of dentistry, Dr Joshua is an avid traveller, a photography enthusiast, and a self-confessed foodie.
Mr Iliyas Sufi graduated with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene & Therapy with Merit, receiving Mendaki’s Special Award for Academic Excellence.
His career spans across school dental services, the Singapore Armed Forces and reputable private practices.
Mr Iliyas is known for his dexterity and shows passion in what he does. He genuinely loves the art of dentistry and takes extra effort in making sure patients get the best dental experience while educating them on good oral hygiene practices. He is also known to be great with children and has even published a children’s activity book aimed at dental education.
He has volunteered in several overseas healthcare missions with his military unit and found these experiences greatly rewarding.
Outside the clinic, Mr Iliyas actively competes in bodybuilding, football & bowling. He also enjoys photography & videography in his spare time.
Miss Ashwani Prabhai completed her Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy and graduated as an Oral Health Therapist from Nanyang Polytechnic in year 2011.
Since graduating as an Oral Health Therapist, Miss Ashwani was able to provide Dental Hygiene treatment and Dental Therapy at the National Dental Centre, Health Promotion Board and reputable private dental practices before joining Canaan Dental. She has since become an integral part of the team.
Miss Ashwani is a very cheerful and vivacious person, who not only enjoys meeting people but also renders the majority of her job to educating and motivating her patients to maintain good oral hygiene.
Miss Ashwani, together with Miss Mastura , works closely with Dr Isaac in our team when he treats his patients for Orthodontic and Invisalign treatment.
Besides spending quality time with her family, Miss Ashwani is also an avid dog lover. She used to volunteer at the SOSD Dog Shelter which is dedicated to the welfare of Singapore抯 many street dogs. She and her family still foster dogs from time to time.
