5 Key Insights from the Injectable Composites in Full Mouth Rehabilitations Workshop with Dr Sandra Hulac

Injectable Composites in Full Mouth Rehabilitations are transforming the way dentists approach complex restorative cases. From 16th to 18th August 2025, CGDP Singapore hosted “Precision in Transition: The Use of Injectable Composites in Full Mouth Rehabilitations” with Dr Sandra Hulac— an AACD Accredited Fellow and Kois Clinical Instructor known for her expertise in aesthetic and functional dentistry.

Our Clinical Director, Dr Isaac Chong, had the privilege of attending this enriching event, which began with a lecture on 16th August, followed by a hands-on workshop on 17th and 18th August. Here are five takeaways that stood out.

1. Occlusion Concepts Are the Foundation

Full mouth rehabilitations are some of the most complex cases in restorative dentistry. Beyond aesthetics, clinicians must stabilise the bite and restore proper occlusion. Dr Hulac emphasised that successful full mouth rehabilitations start with mastering occlusion. Before aesthetics, clinicians must stabilise the bite. With injectable composites, practitioners can immediately create harmony in function while preparing for definitive restorations.

2. Transitional Restorations Can Be Predictable

Many clinicians struggle with the uncertainty of transitional phases. One of the biggest highlights of the workshop was how injectable composites in full mouth rehabilitations offer a predictable and minimally invasive way to bridge the gap between diagnosis and final prosthetics. This technique allows clinicians to:

  • Achieve predictable occlusion

  • Control functional stability

  • Reduce costs and chair time for both dentist and patient

3. Precision Before Permanence

One of the most inspiring parts of the course was seeing Dr Hulac’s case presentations. She showcased how precise transitional work ensures that when permanent restorations are placed, they fit seamlessly into an already stable occlusal scheme. This is dentistry with foresight.

4. Protocols Simplified for Daily Practice

In the hands-on sessions, participants learned simplified, step-by-step protocols. Dr Hulac broke down what initially seemed complex into clear, reproducible techniques.

Dr Hulac showcased multiple patient cases where transitional composites delivered not just stability but also outstanding aesthetics. She demonstrated that transitional does not have to mean “temporary compromise”. Patients can enjoy both function and beauty while awaiting final restorations.

5. Cost- and Time-Effective Patient Care

One of the strongest appeals of this technique is its efficiency. Full mouth rehabilitations are often resource-heavy, but with injectable composites, clinicians can reduce both costs and chair time without sacrificing quality.  Patients benefit from a smoother process, reduced chair time, and cost-effective care, without compromising aesthetics or function.

Final Thoughts

The Injectable Composites in Full Mouth Rehabilitations Workshop was more than a course. It was a shift in clinical practice. With practical protocols, simplified occlusion concepts, and predictable transitional methods, it gave dentists confidence to manage complex rehabilitations with precision and artistry.
