Sangeetha
Sangeetha graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2013 with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. She began her professional career at National Dental Centre Singapore, where she spent four years treating a wide spectrum of patients, including medically compromised individuals, which strengthened her clinical skills and deepened her interest in providing compassionate care to vulnerable patient groups. In addition to her public sector experience, she has also practised in private dental clinics and participated in community dental screenings, further broadening her understanding of diverse patient needs.
Sangeetha currently holds a dual role at Canaan Dental as both an Operations Manager and a Dental Hygienist, bringing together over 13 years of clinical and operational experience. By combining clinical insight with operational oversight, she ensures that the clinic runs smoothly behind the scenes while maintaining a supportive and collaborative team culture.
Having experienced dental phobia as a child, Sangeetha is committed to breaking the cycle by creating a safe and comforting environment for her patients. Her calm, positive demeanour and gentle touch help put even the most anxious individuals at ease. With over 13 years of experience as a dental hygienist, she is known for her thoroughness and meticulous approach. She empowers her patients to maintain excellent oral hygiene at home by teaching practical techniques in the clinic and takes great satisfaction in witnessing their oral health improve over time.
As the Operations Manager, Sangeetha’s areas of expertise lie at the intersection of clinical insight and operational leadership. She leads initiatives that optimise clinic operations and streamline workflows by identifying bottlenecks and implementing structured systems that improve efficiency for both patients and staff. Sangeetha believes that every operational challenge can be resolved with the right strategy and a systematic approach. She is particularly passionate about identifying inefficiencies, removing bottlenecks, and building structured workflows that allow the clinical team to focus on delivering high-quality patient care. She fosters collaboration across clinical and administrative teams while overseeing projects such as protocol development, documentation frameworks, and operational systems that support long-term clinic growth. Her ultimate aim is to create a well-organised, patient-centred environment where both staff and patients feel supported and confident in the care being delivered.
Outside of work, Sangeetha is a proud “pawrent” to an energetic Goldendoodle who keeps life lively. She enjoys travelling, drawing, reading, and solving puzzles. Weekends are often spent with family or planning her next adventure, whether that means exploring new destinations or discovering new experiences with her dog.
